Let It Be

I love, love, love the song, "Let it Be." I've never been the biggest Beatles fan (I used to dislike them, but I think it mostly pre-teeny angst trying to annoy Big Sis who loved them...). I think they're great and all that, but I've just never been a Mega Fan.

But I loooooooooooove Let it Be. I think part of this love is based on one of my high school bff's high school dance recitals. One of the advanced ballet classes danced to Let it Be and it was gorgeous.

I think it's such a beautiful song. The lyrics are so simple, but uplifting. The melody is also very fabulous.

When I find myself in times of trouble, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.

And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree,
there will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted there is still a chance that they will see,
there will be an answer. let it be.

Let it be, let it be, .....

And when the night is cloudy, there is still a light, that shines on me,
shine until tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

Let it be, let it be, .....

It makes me smile and makes my heart happy and hopeful.

This guy on American Idol just sang Let it Be, which is what inspired this rather random, unorganized post...
